Juvenile Saffron Finch (Sicalis flaveola)

[Juvenile Saffron Finch]

Finches are common throughout the world but come in many varieties. This particular juvenile saffron caught my eye, hopping around on black and colored lava, in the cemetery outside St. Benedict's Painted Church, near to the Place of Refuge on the Kona Coast of the Big Island (Hawai'i).
