Great Blue Heron

Above is a longtime favorite image, "blue heron under triangle", shot eons ago with 35mm negative film (200 ASA) on Florida's Gulf Coast. Scanned at the time, thus the murkiness.

Below is much more recent, now digital, image of a great blue heron, here enjoying a successful catch. Both were among the still wild and beautiful nature to be found near Lake Myakka, Florida.




Lastly, here is a Great Blue heron luxuriating in the sun under Spanish moss and this massive tree, in a Cypress swamp along Lake Hancock / Circle B Bar Reserve.
