Joe Camel's 42nd Street

This is how New York's famed 42nd Street looked in 2002, as the old burlesque houses, porno shoppes, video arcades, Army/Navy stores, and Kung Fu movie houses were shuttered, painted, demolished and moved.
Looking west towards 8th Avenue, approaching from Times Square/Broadway and standing in front of what is now Madame Tussaud's wax museum, this was the view. Joe Camel ruled 42nd Street from high above the teen and tourist life of 42nd Street.
