Södermalm Steps

This is a view from one of the main streets of Södermalm, the large and trendy area to the south (söd) of the Old City of Gamla Stan. With the sun shining on the steps, the expansive vista includes a view across the water, and one can find some small but elegant shops amid the more commercial stores on the main street. This is one of the opening scenes of Salander's neighborhood in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
