This is the view near the final home, church, and grave of Father Damien, whose legendary work on behalf of the 19th Century leper colony and its residents earned him Sainthood (along with Sister Marianne). Right here is where much of the film Molokai took place - looking out into the blue Pacific with some of the world's tallest sea cliffs (pali).
